AHEPA National Housing Corporation’s (ANHC) and Affordable Housing Management Company’s (AMC) collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Pharmacy Partnership for Long-term Care Program has made AMC residents a priority in the nationwide COVID-19 vaccine rollout, an initiative applauded by Supreme President George G. Horiates.
By the close of business today, 47 AHEPA affordable senior housing communities will have held an initial vaccine clinic for their residents. AHEPA Housing’s first vaccine clinic occurred January 8 at AHEPA 113 Senior Apartments, Beavercreek, Ohio.
“Our residents’ health and safety throughout the pandemic has been our priority,” AMC President and CEO Steve Beck said. “Our participation in the CDC’s program ensured our residents would have priority access to the Covid-19 vaccine. We collaborated with pharmacies such as CVS and Walgreens to ensure we were prepared properly for the vaccine’s distribution to our communities, based upon each state’s order of prioritization, to help protect one of our nation’s most vulnerable populations and to limit the virus’s spread.”
ANHC President Carl Hollister, PSP, added, “As volunteers serving on our local housing boards, AHEPA members are proud to be doing their part to help care for our nation’s vulnerable seniors.”
